Way more nominations for Grand Budapest Hotel and Interstellar than I was expecting.
Biggest snubs: Inherent Vice, Nightcrawler and the Lego Movie. Jake G. didn't even get a best actor nomination. Lego Movie didn't get nominated for best animated feature, but two animes did (though I think they might give it to Kaguya just because it's the last Ghibli film)
Worst fear: Boyhood winning best picture. JK Simmons and Rosamund Pike losing.

Best Foreign Language Film: Leviathan
Best Actor: Michael Keaton - Birdman
Best Actress: Rosamund Pike - Gone Girl
Best Supporting Actress: Emma Stone - Birdman
Best Supporting Actor: J.K. Simmons - Whiplash
Best Director: Inarritu - Birdman
Best Picture: Whiplash

seriously though i don't think they could have had a shittier best picture list if they tried. I knew it was coming but still.
No Interstellar, Gone Girl, Nightcrawler, or Inherent Vice but fucking Grand Budapest Hotel and American Sniper get nominated? Not to mention one of the worst movies of last year, boyhood, is the leading candidate to win. Also not even going to mention that so many of the great films of last year received zero nominations (Under the Skin especially). This is truly going to be a shitty year for the oscars, gearing up already for next year when who knows what the fuck will happen.
