Jack Burton is the perfect protagonist for a movie like this.
I ever get into making action movies and shit my characters are totally gonna be riffs on Jack Burton.

This is one of those movies I don't own that I really should get. This and Jurassic Park.

The writing for this movie is really stellar as is John Carpenter's direction (he and Kurt Russel always made each other better)
I always love the scene where he's on the phone and carrying a conversation with them at the same time, and then he turns and tells them that the phone's dead. Fucking genius.
