Summerfest this year has nobody I want to see
Their only headliners I'd be halfway interested in are Rush, The Eagles and Fun. None of which I'd be willing to fork the extra 60 dollars to see.
And Rush plays it every year almost.

I'm seeing Crystal Castles for free.
I think I'm legitimately more excited for this than any concert I've been to in my life, including the two times I saw Foo Fighters.

man i still havent seen a single concert this year even though i could have seen crystal castles for free what is this shit i wanted to go to Danny Brown with Frank and Charles but they wouldn't go because I could only pay for their tickets and not their beer.  |

SO here's how its looking in 2014:
-Electric Six are playing High Noon again, and two days before my birthday! FUCK YEAH. Gonna get super wasted and dance to this and sing all the lyrics:
I also hope I finally hear this live:
-neutral milk hotel are also playing in february but I don't know if I'll be able to go. Would be awesome to get some semen stains on mountain tops though
-I may go to Band Camp with ben and phil
-But I will definitely try to get you guys to go to Summerfest with me this year.

The Black Angels are playing the Majestic with Rory Erikson two weeks from today. Price tag is 22 dollars but that's worth it for an ear-rection like that.

Summerfest seems abysmal this year. So few bands that I'd actually want to see. It's making me want to check out lollapalooza and pitchfork even though I could not afford one and would probably hate the other.

well skrillex and lorde are playing lollapalooza. headlining over Chvrches and Chance the Rapper. fuck everything, that's terrible.
there are still some really good bands playing lolla and pitchfork though. better overall lineups than summerfest. but why do they have to be in fucking Chicago.
i feel like a hipster because pitchfork's looks the best to me. but I don't know if I want to wade past all the elitists.

Damn, I haven't been to any concerts or anything this summer. Also this thread is sad because it is almost completely full of concerts that I wanted to see but didn't for various reasons. I completely forgot that I missed Neutral Milk Hotel playing in Madison on my birthday.  I guess Sarah was the only reason I was going to any of these. Every time I suggest to go to a concert with one of our friends I get shot down faster than one of my erections. I could have seen Cloud Nothings with Cheesy. That would have been the most epic night ever. |
