In December we are getting NEW scores by Ennio Morricone and John Williams. You guys don't realize how happy this makes me. They may even be their last scores ever. Fuck the movies, the scores for those two movies are going to be amazing.

As far as actual soundtracks go, as in music from elsewhere and not an original score, I think it works best when it feels earned. Tarantino is great at this, Freddy Got Fingered also makes good use of its soundtrack despite being such a critically panned film.
