JJ Abrams has two movies being developed by two separate first time directors at Bad Robot Productions. He also owns the film rights to Portal and Half Life because they were sold to him by Gabe Newell. Could these movies be the Portal and Half Life movies? The director of the first one made a Portal fan film, and the description/name could be a ruse and it's actually a portal film:
