just watched some gameplay vids since it was released in its native language/country
jesus christ, the map is fucking HUGE might be the biggest open world game of all time

Even though the game isn't done downloading yet (still at only 14 GBs of 26 of the remaining app data) I found out I was still able to play the game. I got through White Orchard and did a bunch of sidequests, most of them but not all of them (holy shit the pan one is hilarious if you do it right) and I did the main story mission and killed the Griffin. Then I talked to Yeniffer and she told me to go to Valen. I tried to go to Valen and it told me Valen still hadn't loaded cause I don't have the game all the way downloaded yet. So now I'm back in White Orchard, trying to complete all the side quest and find all the hidden items. That alone could take me a while and keep me entertained.
This game is pretty big but its divided into zones, like White Orchard and Valen are zones. Altogether the zones are probably bigger than something like Skyrim, but this doesn't feel like Skyrim like people who don't know the series were predicting. This feels like a giant ass Witcher game, which is awesome.
The thing that I thought always set this series apart from stuff like Dragon Age or Skyrim and made it better was the character of Geralt. He's not a character you make up, he's a character you play as and he already has a structured personality that you can make decisions with. That to me is a little more interesting than what Bioware and Bethesda generally do.
On that note haven't found any brothels or bath houses yet so I haven't yet had sex in the game or seen any naked ladies. Also haven't gotten any with Yennifer yet. That part of the game was probably oversold by people like me, I'm sure it's still in there but you've got to get to it. There's probably bath houses in Valen.
