they finally addressed the pete and peggy child storyline 5 years later...holy fucking shit
and sterling cooper finally getting destroyed
"this is the beginning of something not the end" as everyone walks away. Genius.
This show is going to have one of the best finales of all time. I can feel it.

Betty.  Pete and Trudy!  Don reconciling with the army was cool...like the burden he's carried with him this whole series is almost over. Next week is the series finale. It will probably be no joke one of the greatest series finales of all time. Might even be better than the Shield's. |

Watching the Mad Weekend Marathon
this show was one of a kind...the humor is better in this drama than it is in any comedy show.
I don't think Breaking Bad would have happened without this show happening and saving AMC first, and I know stuff like Rectify, Turn, Boardwalk Empire and Hell on Wheels would not of happened either
that said its also indirectly responsible for shit like Walking Dead, Halt and Catch Fire, etc.

Pete, Peggy and Roger all got happy endings. Joan, Don and Betty all led lives where they screwed themselves out of their own happy endings.
At first I felt like Don was accepting who he was at the end of the finale, but when they played the coke ad I kind of got the feeling that maybe Don wrote that ad, and maybe Don's sense of self was just advertising and consumerism. That seems to be the overall undercurrent point of the series.
Definitely going to be in my top 5 series of all time for a while. I think it might have been better than Breaking Bad, but they really were different animals.
