updated. this has been a shockingly good year for indie cinema and a shockingly lame year for mainstream movies but so far I love it. My favorite movies this year probably already top a lot of my favorite movies from last year.

Holy shit he is trolling hard with some of that list. And I haven't seen most of those, except for Before Midnight, Gravity and This is the End (which is nowhere near being best of the year lol).

This has been a fucking fantastic year for movies.
Gravity, Spring Breakers and 12 Years a Slave alone are better than most of the movies that came out last year.
