Dude I feel like John Boyega's character is going to be all types of awesome.
I instantly want to know how he became a storm trooper, why he no longer is a storm trooper, and if he's the main jedi that is even more interesting

Also all the prequels were shot in digital but the originals were shot on film.
Choosing to shoot in Imax film instead of 3D shows they are trying to stick to the tone of the originals.

Some Star Wars facts you might not know, cause I'm bored and a nerd:
-Toshiro Mifune was originally offered the role of Obi Wan Kenobi but turned it down
-Kurt Russel auditioned for Han Solo but did not get the part
-David Lynch was the original choice to direct Return of the Jedi. Lynch turned it down to make the movie Elephant Man.
-the directors of Empire and Return are both dead now
-After Phantom Menace bombed critically, Lucas asked Spielberg to direct Attack of the Clones. Spielberg turned it down saying that Star Wars was Lucas's thing and not his.
-Lawrence Kasdan was the writer brought on on Empire when director Irvin Kershner, writer Leigh Brackett and Lucas could not get along. Lucas loved his draft so much he brought him onto his other movie Raiders of the Lost Ark. Kasdan is helping JJ Abrams write the Force Awakens.

hahahahaha, rumored Episode 7 opening scene...right now it is just a rumor but my god I hope it's true. Episode 7 opens exactly like LOST with an Imperial Star Destroyer crashing on Tattoine. The first thing we see after the opening space crawl is the eyes of Finn when he wakes up in his Storm Trooper uniform. The shot of him in the trailer is the next thing we see. We then see storm troopers after him but we don't know why. Finn meets up with Rey and BB8 shortly after. Rey saves Finn from the other stormtroopers. |
