Can't believe how good True Detective and The Leftovers look, HBO might be making a comeback this year, even though yes the Leftovers is written by He Who Shall Not Be Named, I think that He Who Shall Not Be Named going crazy on a channel like HBO could be good.

been rewatching the first 4 episodes of TD
FAIRLY certain that, in addition to being the best show on tv right now, its on the fast track to being one of the greatest television series of all time.

True Detective -- one of the greatest first seasons ever, with a whole lot of unanswered questions that will likely never get answered.
I am very, very nervous of that Damon Lindleoff HBO show now. You might have to pay me to watch it.
Still, True Detective, definitely one of my favorite shows I've ever seen. Good emotional ending, but FUCK.

So I watched the finale of a show starring this year's Academy Award winning actor Matthew McConnaughey (alrite alrite alrite) and now I will tonight watch a show from this year's academy award winning director Alfonso Cuaron.

Can we just admit that while Indie films and foreign films still reign supreme, television shows have long ago surpassed blockbuster films in terms of pure entertainment factor?
Seriously are there any blockbuster movies from the past 3 years that are more entertaining than:
-Game of Thrones
-Breaking Bad
-Mad Men
?
Not to mention recent incredibly entertaining shows like Louie, True Detective, Orphan Black, Hannibal, Luther, Sherlock, Fargo, Rectify?
And then people don't watch them because people are fucking retarded.

Alright we are almost at fall tv season and there are a ton of retarded new shows Charles will make me watch. But before we get there, here's my top 5 tv shows of the year so far: 5. Rectify Season 2 4. Orphan Black Season 2 3. Hannibal Season 2 2. Fargo Season 1 1.
It has to be number 1. A TV show that had Matthew McConaughey's best performance/character ever, a TV show that gave us the greatest nude scene of the year, a TV show that had one of the most wicked soundtracks ever, a TV show that for a few weeks was rivaling LOST in terms of my sheer commitment to it
